Out of the way but the IPAs and bar staff Were on fucking point* *prepare yourself for strollers and kids but the space is big enough that it wasn't terrible. Pin ball was fun too

We had heard about this place from friends for some time but had not had an opportunity to check it out until this afternoon. This is a craft brewery spot in northern Astoria, which has a number of boardgames as well as about a dozen pinball machines - so there is plenty of opportunity for entertainment. There is also a wide variety of beers on tap that are made on site. We enjoyed one of the IPAs, which was appropriately named 'Stoner'. The beer was tasty, not too hoppy and not too bland. And the 6.8% alcohol traveled quickly to one's head! We also tried the Kim, which was fruity and tangy. From speaking with the other patrons we learned that there is a loyal clientele of neighborhood folks as well as some people who have traveled a bit to sample the experience. We recommend it!

Every single one of my beers was delicious but different and complex. It has a great atmosphere, really good music and the clientele is chill.

Fun and wide selection of drinks. Great bar food quality. Great for a casual night out or for a larger group.

A table and a mini bonzai tree...who knew such a scintillating convo may ensue...Not I. In and effort to I don't know, blend in? I just continued the convo. Oh wait, this isn't a TED talk. Apologies there. Beers, you are here for the BEERS. Great selection and ample seating including outdoors. No heat lamps that I saw so I'm not sure when winter comes what that area would be. In terms of food, they just have snacks so you may be wise to eat before coming. This brewery is a bit off the beaten path but it is still among some of the best beers you can find in NYC. For that reason alone, it is worth the trek every time. Fan.

This is an excellent brewery as well as a music venue! We came out here to listen to some friends perform, and this place was excellent acoustically! They have a ton of excellent beers and cocktails available as well as a few food items (just variations of pretzels). If you need food, you can also go across the street to Astoria Pizza Factory and order some food to bring here. I also appreciate that this place has movies playing on their projector screen (shoutout to Lord of The Rings playing today) as well as a multitude of board games. Honestly such a sick spot that is relatively easy to get to!

I haven't made it to Singlecut in the past as it feels like it's located in a rather far-flung area of Astoria-Ditmars. But if you don't mind a little walk, it's so worth it! It's only about a 12-15 minute stroll from the ditmars subway stop and the walk can take you through some pleasant neighborhood streets. The vibe of the brewery is very chill. You can sit outside, but the large open garage-style door brings the outdoors inside as well. We were here on a Saturday night and enjoyed some live jazz in addition to our brews. The first drink I tried was The Kim (hibiscus sour lager). It was just as I like it: super sour, fruity, lightly floral. I also tried a slushee and was glad I did! I was a little skeptical, as who hasn't been lured in by a beautiful, bright icy mix, only to find it overly sweet and undrinkable? But the Blue Waves (schindleria praematarus honey IPA, blue raspberry, strawberry lemonade) wasn't overly sweet at all. It was fruity, but more subtle than you'd think, and a little bitter from the IPA. My partner ordered several flights, so I also had a chance to sample many of the beers on menu. I didn't jot down specifics but no I thought they were generally pretty good. I'm not typically a huge IPA person, and they have a lot of them on the menu. Finally, we split a big truffle cheddar soft pretzel. It wasn't super truffle-y, but it was definitely hot, fresh, fluffy on the inside, and totally satisfying. It was served with a coarse, very sharp whole grain mustard.

They have trivia on Friday's! While they don't have a full menu *yet* they allow and encourage you to bring your own food in. Often times they have a food truck or you can pop across the parking lot and get Chinese or pizza!! Such a great spot to hang out on the weekend!
